                               GENERAL INFORMATION                              

I am currently accepting limited ARC's and finished books from publishers and authors in return for an honest review. I am currently NOT accepting self-published titles.

Please read the following policies before emailing review and information requests to thatfirstline at gmail dot com. I will not respond to emails that do not follow these policies.

Accepting - Young Adult and Middle Grade.

I am willing to consider print ARC's, finished copies and e-books. If the book is part of a series I may need to request the previous books to ensure a fair review. 

I currently use the Kindle app for tablets and Aldiko Book Reader to read e-books. This gives me some flexibility on format, but I do prefer to use Kindle where possible. 

I am not willing to accept audiobooks, self-published books, indie press books or interactive media books at the current time. Any requests for these books will not receive a reply.

My Amazon wishlist is updated daily to include specific books/series that I want to read. It will also give you an idea of my current interests and reading habits. You can also see my reviews here if you would like to see what I have enjoyed recently.

I will consider YA and MG fiction in the following genres:

I will generally NOT consider books in the following genres:

• Adult fiction
• Contemporary
• Non-Fiction
• Biographies or memoires
• Erotica
• Poetry or free-verse
• "True Story" fiction (Illness, abuse, struggles etc)
• Overly religious fiction

                                   ACCEPTED/DENIED?                                   

I will always make every effort to consider book release dates when I read and review. If you would like your book reviewed by a set date please include details in your initial email. In all other cases books will be reviewed on a date chosen by myself.

I prefer to receive books at least 4-6 weeks before you would like the review posted. I schedule my posts up to two weeks in advance and require a reasonable amount of reading time to enable me to post an honest and fair review.

Accepting a book means that I will consider it for review. It does not guarantee a review.

There are many reasons for a book not receiving a review. I am not able to give feedback for individual books.

I will generally review any book that I finish. I may also review books that I did not finish if there is a reason for the DNF. All DNF books receive a zero star rating. Please see my ratings in the side-bar of any page.

Reviews may also be posted on Goodreads but I cannot guarantee this for all reviews.

My reviews are usually structured as follows:

• Cover Image
• Book information (Publisher, release date or year, page count, series/standalone and whether it was purchased or a review copy.)
• Star Rating
• Synopsis (Usually from Goodreads)
• My thoughts/opinion 

• Prize details (Title/Author or what is included)
• When would you like the giveaway to run and how long?
• Additional information and photographs of the prize.
• How will the prize be shipped to the winner?
• Requirements for entry.
